“We need a fully loaded cost analysis of all alternatives.”
ACE ParticipantDuring the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) in Chicago, Black & Veatch hosted a media dialogue on the topic of water reuse. The event, titled “Overcoming Barriers to Water Reuse in an Integrated Water Portfolio,” was held 23 June at McCormick Place West. It was the fifth in a series of six roundtable discussions that Black & Veatch hosted on the topic of recycled water.
The dialogue was opened with additional background on Black & Veatch’s water reuse roundtable series and the findings of the previous events. Challenges shared from previous roundtable sessions focused on population changes, conflicts over water transfer rights, the lack of integrated water/wastewater agencies and overcoming silo-mindsets. Seven industry leaders, including clients and representatives from trade associations, took part in the stimulating dialogue while journalists listened and learned about the subject of water reuse.
